Travels.

I just go through my posts earlier this year. I said that I want to travel to places as much as I can. Well to date, I managed to go to:

Egypt - the most further place from Malaysia that I've been. The experience of going there is bittersweet. Love the weather. Winter. No snow. But boy, My sweats didn't have a chance to shed throughout my stay there. And for me, who shed so much in daily life, that's a blessing. Hahahahaha. The view is to die for. The people, not so much. Except the one in Siwa. The most friendliest people we met in Egypt.

Perhentian - as a family, we need this. I love how we spend the day doing nothing. Just sitting around and have a conversation. Do it with your family.

Resolution.

I remember in the past, I used to write my new year's resolution every year without fail. And fail to achieve every single thing in the resolution miserably every year. So then, I made a promise to myself to not write about my resolution anymore and just strive for the best.

P/s: but write out your to-do list. Its important and its working for me to get the job done. Anyeong~~ <--tetiba

summer's child.

Hooked from the first chapter. As usual, Diane Chamberlain style of writing always with a mystery. Though I think that this one is too much mystery it became blergh. But it still a fun read. I admit that I cannot wait to know who dump the baby and casually read the few sentences from the last page. Hahaha. Finished it in 3 days straight. Bye Shelly, Daria, Rory, Chloe, Ellen.

And welcome Delia, Eric and Fitz.

Funnily enough, both of this book that I selected randomly, have the same theme. Missing person.

unwritten rules

of still living with your parents.

- there is always a curfew. no matter how old are you.
- you are expected to keep the house clean. at all times. even when you are just coming back from the office.
- no alone time.
- you cannot do anything as you wish. for example, you cannot spend so much time on your PCs/laptop/tablet watching movies.

i know all of these sounds ridiculous. but its true. no matter how old are you and if you are still living with your parents, these are the rules. even when you have a fair share of the bills in the house now. even when you help with groceries expenses every month. parents will always be parents.

i cannot wait for the moment that i have my own house. i want to be like all other people. not having to think about keeping the house clean before you go and coming back from office. can spend all the time i want to do what i want. my alone time. sigh~~

Mercy.

Started reading this book a while ago. Got distracted for a while because of the Mitch Albom book. Nothing particularly great about this book. Its a love story. About how in a relationship, one of the two always giving more than they should and then ended up broken hearted. The biggest question that I had while reading this was, how in a world someobody who is perfectly happy with their life would want something else? Why Cam still want Mia eventhough he love Allie still? And why Mia, who I imagine must be perfectly hot and beautiful want somebody who isn't hers when she can get anybody that she want? Why Allie still can accept Cam after all of these? I have no objection in Jamie & Maggie relationship. Though i still think that what Maggie asked Jamie to do is so selfish.

The Book.

I remember that one of my friends from my diploma year asked me to read this book. Its a long time ago. And I kept postponed it. Mainly because the book is so freaking expensive in book store. Until I realized the existence of BBW book sale. I went every year. But they never seem to have this book. So I kept forgetting about it. Until the recent BBW book sale. They have it. I took it without any thought. Its just RM10 btw. Hehe. I go back home. And start reading this book. Without any expectation or anything. And I am hooked! How could I let myself be like this ha? I regret not having a little bit of effort to read this book. Reading this book is like a punch in the face. So many lesson to learn from it. Such an easy book yet very big impact. At least for me. :)

Grammar Nazi

Here I am, asking for people opinion on the new IT Policy and people just saw the grammatical errors. Haih. T_____T

Nevermind, I'll just assume that my IT Policy is good enough.

P/S: If they found this blog, they will cringe at how many grammar errors in this blog. It might kill them. I pray hard that they will never do. Hehe. :)

Time.

I really dont understand how we can waste what 8-9 working hours. This is not the first time that i've been given a task to be completed when its already time to go home. What did you guys actually do? I know i'm not perfect. Sampai tempat kerja pun betul2 on time. Not earlier or later. But i can finished doing my to do list for this week about 70% today. Plus all the additional works that i have to cover for people on emergency leave today.

I don't believe in working extra hours. One, because i cannot even claim the hours. Second, seriously how many more hours you want to spend in the office? Dont you have things to do at home? People to see. Dont you want to spend your time with somebody else other than your office mates? Well if you do, i believe you will make the most of the time that you have instead of wasting it by not doing proper work when its time to do work. Kan?

A year older.

10th May. I'm a year older. I didn't expext much and didn't really looking forward to it. Spent the whole day with family. Got couple of wishes. I'm happy and content. Yup. :)

P/S:can't wait for August to come and ease the craziness at office right now. I am tired and need a long holiday and not doing anything. And disconnected with the outside world for a while. It must be refreshing. And maybe if I'm lucky able to finish reading 2/3 books. Hmmm. 😌😌😌

Book 5

I’m currently very busy at the office. Peak period of 2015 just started. And it will last until August. So, I’m trying hard to keep my pace of reading, watching my favourite Korean show, eating and sleeping. Hehe. And to be honest, I’m a little bit behind the schedule.

It’s ok though. Work comes first. So, before I read this, I actually read Dorothy Koomson (The Rose Petal Beach). Halfway through the second chapter, I realized I already read it. I don’t remember where I read it though. I guess I read it while I was very keen on reading e-book. Same case like House Rules, Jodi Picoult. I think that's why I already know what the ending of the book was. It’s because I already read it in e-book version. E-book is so hard to keep track to.

I read a lot of e-book during this one time and I can’t even remember what I already read and not.

So yeah, back to the book.

This book is quite interesting read for me. Basically it’s about a married man, Paul Macelli who fall in love with somebody’s wife, Annie O’Neill. Then, one night, Annie die. And the person who treat Annie at the hospital that night was Paul’s wife, Olivia Simon. Annie have a husband (Alec O’Neill) and two children – Clay and Lacey.

After Annie’s death, Paul decided to leave his wife who then found out she’s pregnant. So, Olivia being curious with what makes Paul fall in love with Annie, decide to learn about Annie. She started doing things that Annie was doing and found Annie’s husband, Alec.

There are so much happening in this book and its definitely worth to be read once again.

I want to write some more but I need to go. Write to you soon. I'm reading Dorothy Koomson other book, The Cupid Effect. This one though not really much, might take me some time to finish just because I'm too busy. So yeah, talk to you soon!

Bye!

Book 4

To be honest, I don't really like this book. I spent a week to finish 200++ pages. Its basically a story about a mother, Olivia who lost his autistic son, Anthony.

After her son dead, she and her husband divorced so she move to Nantucket, a small island where another woman name Beth is living. Beth is currently separated from his husband because her husband is cheating on her.

Beth is a writer. While Olivia is working as an editor before she moved to Nantucket and she loves photography.

So in the event of all thats been happening, Olivia take up on photography business for some cash during her living at Nantucket while Beth takes up back writing.

Beth write about an autistic boy and when Olivia read it, she knows that its her son voice.

So yeah, that basically it.

2014

It’s already been a week of the New Year – 2015. I’m here to write a little bit of what had happened to me for the past year.

The thing that I remember the most would be how I lost my sense of taste for about 8 months post tonsillectomy. Well, having tonsillectomy is actually a blessing. The last couple of years, the condition of my tonsils deteriorate so fast that it affect my health so much. I spent a year (2012-2013) going to hospital for check-up and various tests just to make sure that I’m fit for the surgery.

And I am thankful that the surgery on December 2013 went well. It’s just like yesterday it happened. I can vividly remember every steps of the way before I went for surgery and after. How cold and very bright the OT was. How fast I fell asleep after the anaesthesiologist told me take a deep breath when he put the oxygen mask on me. How suddenly I was woken up by the OT nurse when it’s finished. How sleepy I feel after that.

My mom was the only one who was there with me in every step of the way. And for that I am really thankful.

After I recovered from the surgery, I lost all my sense of taste. I was very frustrated with all that but relieved when I get it back later approximately before Ramadhan which is last August.

A lot of happy things also happened to me last year. Spent a whole lot of time at home when I am not working, with family. Went to ice skating with darling siblings and favourite cousins in the world for the first time in my life. Managed to fall twice or is it three times? HAHAHA.

With Allah’s will, managed to go for real oversea trip (Bandung) for the first time with family on March. Then, we went to Pangkor on June. And my sister and I went for a short holiday to Sarawak on December. Alhamdulillah. Allah have been the best to our family last year. May He always bless our family with health and wealth. And may He always guide us to the right path. Amin.

I was very upset and sad when no one remember my 26th birthday last year, apart from my family. I kept saying to myself, never mind, it’s ok. It’s just a birthday. You see, I didn’t expect anything on my birthday except for a nice birthday wish. My family is not really big on birthday. But we still wish each other and it’s really nice to receive that wish. To be honest, I wait all day for that birthday wish from my dear friends and when I didn’t received any, it broke my heart. I know it’s childish. Anyway, I took quite a long time to recover from it. I’m ok now. It taught me a very good lesson. Which is not to expect anything and people have their own life which obviously is more important. So, it’s okay. I’m okay now.

I deactivated my twitter account last year. A friend ask me why. I can’t really answer it. I read my archives and realized how stupid I sound. I cringe every time I went through the archive and whenever I want to write something on twitter I cannot find the right way to wrote it out. So I thought, I am better off without twitter since it didn’t really help me in daily life. And I am honestly sick of reading other people thoughts too actually. HAHAHA. So now, I am solely on Instagram. My facebook account is still there. But it basically for family. So yeah.

I am truly happy at work. Well, not very happy until I want to laugh and have fun every day at office. There are ups and down at office. But I am happy with the kind of work I’m doing now. The flexibility of it. I am happy to be doing what I love most since I was young – anything IT related. And since I don’t really have any issue right now at the office, I’m envisioning myself to be working here for at least another three to four years? Insyaallah. May Allah ease. Amin.

So yeah, that basically it, my 2014. I don’t have any specific goals to achieve this year. I just want to have as many fun and happy moments as I can this year. I also want to travel to as many places as I can and may Allah permit. I will be 27 this year. 3 more years before I hit 30. I always wanted to travel the world and I hope I can achieve this. I hope I can be more positive and livelier person this year. I hope my family will always do well in everything they do. And I pray Allah will guide me to the right path. Amin.. Amin.. :)
