It’s already been a week of the New
Year – 2015. I’m here to write a little bit of what had happened to me for the
past year.
The thing that I remember the
most would be how I lost my sense of taste for about 8 months post tonsillectomy.
Well, having tonsillectomy is actually a blessing. The last couple of years,
the condition of my tonsils deteriorate so fast that it affect my health so
much. I spent a year (2012-2013) going to hospital for check-up and various tests
just to make sure that I’m fit for the surgery.
And I am thankful that the
surgery on December 2013 went well. It’s just like yesterday it happened. I can
vividly remember every steps of the way before I went for surgery and after. How
cold and very bright the OT was. How fast I fell asleep after the anaesthesiologist
told me take a deep breath when he put the oxygen mask on me. How suddenly I
was woken up by the OT nurse when it’s finished. How sleepy I feel after that.
My mom was the only one who was
there with me in every step of the way. And for that I am really thankful.
After I recovered from the
surgery, I lost all my sense of taste. I was very frustrated with all that but
relieved when I get it back later approximately before Ramadhan which is last
August.
A lot of happy things also happened
to me last year. Spent a whole lot of time at home when I am not working, with
family. Went to ice skating with darling siblings and favourite cousins in the
world for the first time in my life. Managed to fall twice or is it three
times? HAHAHA.
With Allah’s will, managed to go
for real oversea trip (Bandung) for the first time with family on March. Then,
we went to Pangkor on June. And my sister and I went for a short holiday to
Sarawak on December. Alhamdulillah. Allah have been the best to our family last
year. May He always bless our family with health and wealth. And may He always
guide us to the right path. Amin.
I was very upset and sad when no
one remember my 26th birthday last year, apart from my family. I kept
saying to myself, never mind, it’s ok. It’s just a birthday. You see, I didn’t expect
anything on my birthday except for a nice birthday wish. My family is not
really big on birthday. But we still wish each other and it’s really nice to receive
that wish. To be honest, I wait all day for that birthday wish from my dear friends
and when I didn’t received any, it broke my heart. I know it’s childish. Anyway,
I took quite a long time to recover from it. I’m ok now. It taught me a very
good lesson. Which is not to expect anything and people have their own life
which obviously is more important. So, it’s okay. I’m okay now.
I deactivated my twitter account
last year. A friend ask me why. I can’t really answer it. I read my archives
and realized how stupid I sound. I cringe every time I went through the archive
and whenever I want to write something on twitter I cannot find the right way
to wrote it out. So I thought, I am better off without twitter since it didn’t really
help me in daily life. And I am honestly sick of reading other people thoughts
too actually. HAHAHA. So now, I am solely on Instagram. My facebook account is
still there. But it basically for family. So yeah.
I am truly happy at work. Well,
not very happy until I want to laugh and have fun every day at office. There are
ups and down at office. But I am happy with the kind of work I’m doing now. The
flexibility of it. I am happy to be doing what I love most since I was young –
anything IT related. And since I don’t really have any issue right now at the
office, I’m envisioning myself to be working here for at least another three to
four years? Insyaallah. May Allah ease. Amin.
So yeah, that basically it, my 2014. I don’t have any specific goals to achieve this year. I just want to have as many fun and happy moments as I can this year. I also want to travel to as many places as I can and may Allah permit. I will be 27 this year. 3 more years before I hit 30. I always wanted to travel the world and I hope I can achieve this. I hope I can be more positive and livelier person this year. I hope my family will always do well in everything they do. And I pray Allah will guide me to the right path. Amin.. Amin.. :)
