Book 3

I finished reading this one, last week. Tuesday, 23rd December 2014. I love this one the most out of the three that I already finished reading.

It’s basically a story about Alex Lake who works as an officer at Child Care Protection Services or something like that (found the name of her job title! Its social worker. I google it up. Hehe.). I forgot already. Ughhh! HAHAHA! Well yeah basically her day job require her to go and save children from broken homes, etc. Then, one day there is anonymous caller called them up about this one kid name Otillie, about how he’s in danger. And this caller have already called them a few times but the case had been dismissed by Alex’s colleague because the father of the child is actually a deputy head at this one school. And because of the father is known for a good reputation they dismissed the case.

Alex then, take the case and she start to discover things that seem to go very wrong for such a young kid like Otillie. She investigate on the case further and believe that Otillie is in deep danger and working on how to save her from the danger.

I love this book so much! I love the ending. The journey to the ending. I love Alex, Otillie and instantly love how kind Anna is. I hate Alex’s sister at first. Just because she seems to make everything is about her but starting to like her just before the ending. It shows that family will always be there for you. Always.

I really hope they can make this book into movie. But I’m not sure if they can capture all the beauty in this book.

I’m on my fourth book.

And I will definitely read this one back after I finish reading all my new books.

Book 2

I finished reading this book on tuesday. Its a story about a man who didnt believe in second chance in love, Alfie. He is an English teacher at Hong Kong when he found his wife, Rose. They are deeply in love with each other. He lost his wife from an accident. Since then, he returned to London and teach at a school where most of the students are from overseas. He started sleeping around with his students until one of them get pregnant. The student decided to abort it and he started to think about his life.

Then there is one student who is a single mother that got away from her marriage because of her abusive husband.

And there is also his sweet Nan and his father who cheat on his mom with their young helper.

For me, nothing to shout out about his book.

But the biggest difference between Tony Parsomns with other authors is how he focused too much on physical appearances. How the girls are too fat. And i dont really like how he write.

Book 1

Long hiatus. I just feel like i need to write. So i write.

Last Tuesday i went to BBW for the third time. For the last couple of years i am always in search of chick lit. I love reading chick lit. No commitment. Easy to read. To understand. No real emotion. But i got pretty tired of it this year. I want something heavy to read. Something with real emotion. Something that i can cry with and sigh over the words.

So i went back to BBW with new mission.

And i bought whole lots of new books. But the thing is, mostly of it are Jodi Picoult. Hehehehe.

I start reading one as soon as i got back from the sale.

Finish reading it last Saturday. Basically it a story about a young man (18 years old, Jacob) with Asperger which have been convicted with a murder of his social skills tutor, Jess Ogilvy. I think this is my first timer eading this book. But i dont know why but i immediately know the ending when i reach the middle of the book. I have this book in my ipad's library. But i am very sure i did not read it yet.

Anyway the book was fun read in the beginning. Too long in the middle as i always expected from Picoult. Still, its a good read. Its a story of Jacob's mom, Emma together with his lawyer, Oliver trying to win Jacob's case in the court. They are going for insanity plead. But in the end, Jacob tell them the true story of what happen and all went well. Oh and there's Theo. Jacob's little brother who always been the outcast.

The most interesting value that i learnt from this book is Family. How they will always, always be there. And thing i dont really agree with Picoult would be how vaccines cause the autism. I mean i dont really have been doing deep research bout this matter. I just read a couple of articles and the beliefs that vaccines cause autism is not really proved yet. I mean the controversy arise because of this one doctor that wrote an article about it and i hear its a complete hoax. But i dont know man. Im just saying.

I think thats all. Have a nice day!

P/S: i think i want to start writing back the review of books that i read. I always love to do this. ;) I am sorry for so many grammar mistakes in this post. I just want to write ot fast as i am in the middle of second book and i haven't written anything this long for so long already. Hehehe. Bye!
